A fitness center located in the Jonathan Pitney Gym caters to the needs of students through modern exercise and weight equipment. Aside from the indoor facilities, Atlantic Cape maintains outdoor facilities that include softball and soccer fields, a beneficial exercise trail and an archery range.

The athletic programs of Atlantic Cape Community College comprise intercollegiate sports teams in basketball, and baseball for the men’s division and basketball, softball, volleyball for the women’s division. The college has a co-ed golf team and a co-ed archery team with a national ranking. Atlantic Cape’s major arenas of competition are the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). GSAC awards a state champion and selects all-conference teams in each sport while the NJCAA sponsors national championship tournaments and chooses All-America teams.

With red and navy blue color motifs in their jerseys, the varsity players of Atlantic Cape Community College are known as the Buccaneers to their die-hard fans and followers. The Buccaneers can be watched by spectators contesting hard-fought games in campus home games or other sports arenas throughout the region. Atlantic Cape’s strong tradition in Athletics has been awarded with team and individual honors in both academics and athletics, with a recent example of a lady athlete who was selected to the 1st Team All Garden State Athletic Conference and 3rd Team All Region for volleyball. A nursing student-athlete, she holds a 4. 0 GPA.

Atlantic Cape Community College extends financial aid to the students through grants, scholarships, loans and work-study programs. Incoming students can avail of the Marjorie Ward Leaders Scholarship and the Previti Family Scholarship. Culinary Scholarships are offered to new and returning culinary students.
