The athletics department of Arlington Baptist College steers their efforts to prepare their students to be academically, physically, mentally, and spiritually conditioned. The most fulfilling aspect of its athlete’s activities is that of becoming champions of Christian relationship on and off the court. Students who are not part of the intercollegiate teams have the option to keep a healthy and sociable lifestyle through the department’s fitness, intramural sports and fun games like spring kick-off broom ball, Greek rush, dodgeball, whirlyball, intramural basketball, bowling, and Frisbee golf tournament.

Preparing for intercollegiate sports competition is the main focus of the athletics department of Arlington Baptist College. Hiring competent coaches and staff that build strong teams through scientific training and quality recruitment of varsity players, Arlington is able to field a formidable contingent to the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAAA) Division II and the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA). The Patriots are composed of men’s team in baseball, track & field, cross country, golf and basketball and women’s team in golf, basketball, cross country, and volleyball.

The official sports team of the university is the Arlington College Patriots and the varsity players are fondly called by their fans and supporters as simply “Patriots”. Although adhering to the university’s principle that the educational welfare of athlete is a priority over athletic achievement, the varsity players have successfully combined the two activities. Players have received academic recognition and bagged prestigious awards in sports like the Men’s Cross Country 2013 NCCAA National Champion, Women’s Basketball 2013 NCAA SW Region Champion, ACCA National Runner-Up, Men’s Basketball 2013 NCAA SW Region Champion, NCCAA National Runner-Up, and Men’s Baseball 2013 NCCAA SW Region Champion just in a single year alone.

Oldham, and the George Norris awards, these privately-initiated forms of aid hands out cash to students who meet criteria set by the donors to assist students in their education. A generous number of scholarships, of different types, are available for new students to explore, many of which acknowledges academic achievement and provides free tuition like the President’s Scholarship, and the Dean’s Scholarship.
