HOW TO GET RECRUITED FOR COLLEGE BOWLING

NCAA BOWLING SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR WOMEN

Our college recruiting service can assist you when applying for college bowling scholarships. You might consider yourself to be one of the best ten pin bowlers in the world but to get recruited and be in line for a bowling scholarship you need to tell the college bowling coaches who you are and why you deserve to be recruited. COACHES CANNOT RECRUIT YOU IF THEY DON’T KNOW YOU'RE OUT THERE.

Women's bowling, a recent NCAA emerging sport, has now reached the necessary level of sponsorship to support an NCAA championship. NCAA legislation allows for a championship for an emerging sport to be established within a year after the minimum sponsorship number is achieved.

Most teams now compete in the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships, which are administered by College Bowling USA, a primary resource and a governing body for the sport of bowling. Now teams will be allowed to compete in both the NCAA and the IBC championships.

Not all athletic scholarships are full ride like football and basketball; so called "head count sports", most are classed as "equivalency sports", like women's bowling. This means that coaches can "share " their allocation between a larger number of athletes.

There are 29 division 1 and 15 division 2 colleges that offer women's bowling scholarships.

The process of finding and contacting coaches and dealing with the rules and regulations enforced by the NCAA is quite a daunting process for both athletes and parents. The use of our bowling scholarship recruiting service is a must for all athletes who are serious about bowling at college level.

Many fine young athletes are overlooked each year because they didn't submit their athletic profile to the "right" colleges or left out vital information. It's also a fact that many colleges simply don't allocate all of their bowling recruiting funds because "suitable" athletes didn't approach them.

The NCAA allows each division 1 women's bowling program 5 scholarships and in division 2, 5 are also available.

As a high school bowler you should know that the standard of play at college level is very high. Remember that only the absolute top players will be approached with offers of bowling scholarships.

Most bowlers will have to market themselves. You can try to do this yourself or use our bowling recruiting service.

There are over 180 club teams currently in operation at NCAA member schools and most are anticipated to change to NCAA status over the next few years.

When you consider these figures and factor in the fact that colleges must grant more scholarships to women because of the application of title IX then it is obvious that college bowling is here to stay and is only going to get bigger and better.

IMPORTANT: You are not breaching any NCAA or NAIA rules by using our recruiting service to apply for a bowling scholarship.
