How to get recruited and play collegiate ice hockey

Our sports recruiting service help you get recruited and play NCAA Hockey. Our website is full of information and resources to help you work your way through the recruiting process.

A good place to start is the ICE HOCKEY SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION AND STATISTICS page.

You might be the best ice hockey player at your school but if your not in the top 3% then don't expect the NCAA ice hockey coaches to come to you; you  have to make it happen by applying to as many colleges as possible. This is where we come into the picture; we will prepare a professional resume on your behalf and send it to every NCAA ice hockey coach in division 1and 2. We can also send your athletic profile to NAIA colleges as well.

Remember, you wont make your dream come true if you don't do everything you possibly can to get recruited. You must have a professional, detailed athletic profile prepared and you must get it into the hands of the NCAA ice hockey coaches.

We do this for you, it's fast, efficient and above all it allows you to compare ice hockey scholarship offers from many different colleges.

College Ice Hockey History.

The original NCAA tournament format consisted of four teams. Two came from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and two from the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. In 1981 this was increased to 8. The western and Eastern associations were automatically included. The Eastern, Western  and Central Collegiate Hockey Associations were automatic inclusions, while the other five teams were at-large selections, two from the west and three from the east.

12 teams now enter the NCAA regional competition in the east and the west, two each from the WCHA, the ECAC, the CCHA, and Hockey East, with four others selected at large. The top two teams from each region play in the final round.

If you have played in Canadian Major Juniors you are still eligible for NCAA play. Players who competed in Major Junior before their regular high school graduation year will lose one year of NCAA eligibility per year. Players who competed in Major Junior after their regular high school graduation year will lose a year of eligibility, plus must sit out one season in residence per year.
