Georgia State University was founded in 1913, the college has a mission of excellence in teaching, research and service. The college is located in the center of downtown Atlanta, this major research institution has an enrollment of more than twenty seven thousand undergraduate and graduate students in 6 colleges.
Georgia State is the 2nd largest university in Georgia, with students coming from every county in Georgia, every state in the country and from over 145 foreign countries. Georgia State University is the Southeast's leading urban research university. It is on the list of the top One-hundred public universities for doctoral degrees awarded. More than 250 fields of study are offered through some Fifty-two accredited degree programs at the bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral levels.
