The College is a Public, metropolitan university of approximately Twelve Thousand full and part time students in 9 schools and colleges. The University offers more than One Hundred majors. The student-to-faculty ratio is 14 to 1. Average class size: Sixteen students. Part of the University of Arkansas System since 1969.

Students : As well as students from within the state of Arkansas , the University student body includes students from Forty four states, Sixty two foreign countries, and Canada . 24% are African American.
