Jacksonville State University
JSU is an accredited comprehensive University with a focus on teaching. Classes are led by Ph. D. level faculty members, not teaching assistants. The college has nationally recognized programs in business and teacher education.
Located at the foothills of the Appalachians about 1.5 hours Northeast of Birmingham and two hours west of Atlanta, Jacksonville offers a beautiful, scenic location. The goal of the athletic department for each sport is to compete for conference championships on an annual basis which lead to opportunities for JSU student-athletes to compete for NCAA championships.
