Huntingdon College

 

Huntingdon College was founded in 1854 as a  coeducational liberal arts college with links to the United Methodist Church.

The college is located on a  71-acre site in a safe, picturesque and beautiful residential suburb of Montgomery, Alabama, state capital and home of the internationally-acclaimed Alabama Shakespeare Festival; just three hours from the Gulf Coast.

 

The student population consists of approximately eight-hundred students, consistently representing twenty states and more than ten countries; 50% Male, 50% Female; Student/Faculty Ratio: 15/1

ATHLETICS

Huntingdon College offers eleven varsity NCAA division three  intercollegiate teams that compete in the Great South Athletic Conference. Huntingdon Hawks men's teams include baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, and tennis. Huntingdon Lady Hawks teams include basketball, softball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. In addition to these intercollegiate opportunities, Huntingdon offers co-ed cheerleading and an active intramural sports program.
