NCAA President Emmert Pleased With Penn State’s Progress

NCAA President Mark Emmert is happy so far with the steps Penn State has taken in the wake of July’s sanctions:

“What’s not getting attention is the athletic-integrity agreement that Penn State signed and is taking very seriously. We have Sen. George Mitchell involved in overseeing it, and there is no question of his credentials. That’s the part that is going to create serious change in the Penn State culture.”

The athletic integrity agreement and athletic integrity monitor have moved forward with a speed equal to the sanctions. The sanctioning process might not have been much of a negotiation, but Penn State is not digging its heals in on the integrity pieces.

One Response to NCAA President Emmert Pleased With Penn State’s Progress

If George Mitchell lasts his entire 5 year assignment, he’ll be older than Joe Paterno was when he passed. I hope he can keep up.

NCAA is an absolute fraud of an organization. Penn State had no issue prioritizing academics over athletics.

Incidentally, Penn State did not cover up the 1998 or 2001 incidents. 1998 was fully investigated by State Authorities (Attorney General, DA, Dept of Youth Services), and was dropped. Penn State covering up this incident is simply false.

Mike McQueary’s testimony has changed over 10 years. He advised his father, his father’s boss (Dr Dravanov – a mandatory reporter), and PSU officials that he did not witness sex. This is the same that he told PSU, who by the way, advised The Second Mile, Sandusky’s employer of the questionable (not reported as sex) act, in line with PA law.

Meanwhile, Attorney Generals Corbett & Fisher accepted campaign contributions (bribes) from The Second Mile while investigating that organization. Corbett & Fisher were paid to supress their investigations by the Second Mile & it’s wealthy membership.

Corbett as Gov, appoints or influences more than 50% of PSU’s board, who commissioned Freeh and tacitly accepted the NCAA consent decree. Corbett has made PSU take the fall for his & other board members’ corrupt, and likely criminal acts.

The real issue is at The Second Mile and it’s donors. 100% of known victims came from that organization. Incidentally, stories are coming out that The Second Mile was a pimping service for wealthy pedofiles in PA, NJ, MD, NY, and Washington DC.
